("The Unveiling" Series 3, Post 6)
3-19-23
God has really been laying Psalms 46 on my heart. I believe that it is because it truly defines the season that we are within. The most famous verse within this chapter is “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalms 46:10a). But if you read the entire chapter, you see that it is a chapter that talks about chaos and worldly destruction. For “though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging” (Psalms 46:2b-3). Yet, in the midst of this, in the midst of this chaos, we are told by God to be still. And we are told that God is our refuge and strength (vs. 1), and our fortress (vs. 11).
While I was in church today, God spoke. At first the phrase “Season of great joy” rang in my head over and over. God then told me to proclaim to you this season of great joy, that He is about to bring us a season of His great favor and goodness. He then said:
Rise up My people. Along with the flowers of Spring arise, arise and shine. There is no greater time. No greater season for I promise revival, New Birth, and joy beyond measure. The joy and purpose I will place within your hearts will allow you to rise above any storm. I promise to take care of you, in all things. Though Satan is loud, and on the move, so am I. I know what I am doing and I am in COMPLETE control. Watch Me move. Watch Me show up for you in ways you never imagined. A new season lies before you, My people, a season when My Spirit is King, a season when the Holy Spirit rises up within you like never before and will bring new life to My people and this earth. Your Kingdom is not of this world, therefore believe My words when I tell you that no matter what befalls the kingdoms of this world, your Kingdom, My people will thrive, shine, be revived, and will woo the brokenhearted of this world to the Lord Jesus Christ. This is your mission. This is your season. This is the time, the here and now. Rejoice. Rejoice and believe. Believe that I am for you and that I know what I am doing.
Testify. Testify. Testify. My people this season is for testifying. Don’t know what this means or how to do it? Then stop, be still and let Me fill you with all wisdom and truth. The more you seek Me, the more I will begin to show up in your life, giving you things worth testifying about. Testify. Testify. Testify. I created you to testify, to know Me and to make Me known. I have not left Myself without testimony. I still desire to move and to act through you My people but you must, must be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted in the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. Your words exalt Me. When you testify, you bring Me to life, you proclaim to a hurting world that Jesus your Savior still lives. Cry out. Don’t hold back. Keep Christ alive, not just through past stories but new ones, through stories I long to fill your lives with. And I will. More and more this season of testifying will arise. Proclaim your Risen Savior. Proclaim. Proclaim. Lift up His Name for He lives. He lives. He lives. He still lives. What power your words will have My people for Christ will be the Word of your testimonies. It is time for Revelation 12:11. Amen and amen.
We had a guest speaker in church today and the first thing he said was, “God wants you to be full of joy.” Amen. This joy can be found through God and His Spirit, through knowing, like God just said, that despite what happens to the kingdoms of the world that we belong to His eternal Kingdom. We must keep an eternal perspective.
It was very appropriate that His sermon was based on Ephesians 2:4-7. He then focused mainly on verse 6 which says, “God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” What came to my mind is how this verse clearly shows that we are a part of God’s Kingdom right now. Not someday, but right now.
Our speaker ended by sharing a vision God had given him. He had a vision of Jesus sitting on a bench in a garden in Heaven. He asked God why He was showing him this, mentioning to God that he prays a lot and often offers up a list of prayers but that Jesus responded, “I just want to talk with you. I just want to spend time with you.” He then said that God wanted him to share this vision as an invitation to all of us.
It isn’t wrong to pray a lot and to constantly lift up a list of prayers to the Lord. But Jesus also just wants to talk with us, period. He wants to have that personal relationship with us, to walk and talk with us, to be intimate with us. We need to lay aside our lists sometimes and just talk with Him. We need to be still and know that He is God, to sit in His presence and hear His side of things, to be filled with His Spirit.
We are clearly entering a season when the issues with the kingdoms of the world are going to grow stronger, more chaotic and destructive. We are entering a season where even God said that Satan is on the loose, and through His last message through me referred to Satan as in a taunting season. He is on the loose, as God told me, because he knows his time is limited. The point being, with all that said, our prayer lists are going to grow longer. Let’s pray and give these things over to the Lord, but also remember that we need to truly return to our first Love and not neglect the relationship. We need to remember to also simply sit and be in His presence, to hear what He wants to speak to us about, which sometimes may have nothing to do with our list. For, He knows our needs and even when our needs increase, He will still know them.
I can testify from experience that when God finally taught me to lay down my personal agendas and those things that consumed my mind and just decided to be, to be still in His presence, that my relationship with the Lord grew dramatically. It was then that He started to give me truly great things worth testifying about. It was then that He did eventually bring about the answers to my prayer lists and longings. He just wanted relationship first. He just wanted me first, all of me, alone. I can testify to how this process, God’s method, does work.
Back when God was teaching me this lesson, He brought a giant wooden “B” into my life with “Be still and know that I am God” down the side of it. It now sits in front of me when I have my quiet times. But now also next to this “B” is a picture of my husband holding our newborn daughter and next to this picture is another wooden plaque that says, “I still remember the days I prayed for what I have now.” I have two great testimonies of how God promised both my husband to me and my daughter, during different seasons. During each, oh how it was hard not to go into my quiet times not just constantly praying for only these desires, but each time God brought me to a place where He wanted me to lay them down and simply return to just being, being still in His presence and seeking Him alone with no other agenda. With His help each time I managed to finally do this and eventually fulfillment came. As God said in His last word through me, if a need or desire was instilled by Him, He will fulfill it, period. God knows our needs. He will supply them all, therefore, we need to just be, to just seek the Person of God and not always the plan.
No matter what comes our way, no matter what the kingdoms of this world do around us, God will always, ALWAYS, want us to come to Him first, to be still in His presence, and remember that He is God. He will always bring us back to simply knowing Him and making Him known. His method works. Let’s surrender to it and experience sweet fulfillment together.
*Please use me as a resource. God has been speaking to me for years about this season and about how and why we should testify. Pray about going back and reading/watching past messages to be better equipped. God Bless!
